Welcome to 5th Grade!

Welcome to our 5th grade blog! Please feed the fish and look for upcoming dates and projects!

Homework
There is math, reading, and spelling homework every night! A math lesson from the Saxon math book, 20 minutes of reading and filling out the reading log, and Tic-Tac-Toe spelling. Check homework every night. Any assignments that were not completed in class become homework. All incomplete assignments should be located in the homework folder.

I will attach the Tic Tac Toe spelling and book report form on Monday.

Welcome to 5th Grade 2011-2012

Hi, welcome to 5th grade! I am Ms. Chambers and I am so excited for this school year! Let me tell you a little bit about me. I have been working with La Paloma Academy since it opened in 2002. I worked as a librarian and computer teacher before entering the classroom setting four years ago. I also have taught, during the summer, in several countries: Peru, South Africa, and Southern Sudan.

Please come in and meet with me often if you have questions. You may e-mail me questions or comments and I will try to respond within 24 hours.

So far, this class has been wonderful and I can see your influence and academic care shining through your child. Thank you!
